Avanti and Fiji Airways Launch Educational Campaign to Support New Dallas Flights

Thursday, Dec. 5, wholesaler Avanti Destinations, will conduct a webinar introducing the new travel possibilities opened by Fiji Airways’ upcoming nonstop flights from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Nadi, Fiji Airways will launch its new flights Dec. 10.

In preparation for the launch of the new flights, Avanti Destinations and Fiji Airways have teamed up for a campaign aimed at educating travel advisors on new independent travel options to Fiji. The campaign offers travel professionals a comprehensive look at a broad range of available options for assembling custom vacation packages and tours to Fiji. Avanti introduced its Fiji options in 2023, as part of a launch of a larger expansion into the South Pacific.

Avanti offers Fiji in the style it has been operating in since 1981, offering separate components that can be assembled to meet the needs and preferences of the specific clients. The company sells strictly through travel agents, not directly to consumers. Avanti also offers packages that have already been assembled using the experience and expertise of Avanti’s in-house destinations experts who sell the destinations day by day, year after year. Avanti started with Europe in 1981, expanded to Latin America in 1990 and to Asia in 2015.

The opening of new air routes from Dallas to Fiji, creates a cornucopia of new possibilities. Fiji is still a very exotic destination for Americans. Most people don’t realize what they are missing, and that goes hand-in-hand with its appeal as a fresh, unspoiled destination, with exquisite overwater bungalows over clear, blue water. In his enthusiasm for the new possibilities, Avanti’s CEO, Paul Barry, shares eloquently on the subject of Fiji.

“With its crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and white sand beaches, Fiji is the quintessential tropical paradise,” Barry said in a statement. “It is a destination that appeals to families with children, romance travelers, scuba divers, snorkelers, hikers, surfers, as well as those who simply want to relax on the beach and explore the islands’ history and culture. Many hotels and resorts cater to families with separate family-friendly areas. English is also one of the official languages, and the Fijian people are warm and welcoming.

“The addition of three nonstop flights a week operating from Dallas/Fort Worth brings the total number of Fiji Airways North American gateways to five, which helps make Fiji accessible to more American travelers,” said Barry. The other gateways are San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Vancouver (Canada).
