CCRA Travel Commerce Network recently announced a series of significant updates aimed at advancing the company’s growth strategy and supporting independent travel advisors. Building on momentum from the past two years, CCRA is making strategic investments in its membership services division, updating its TRUE accreditation requirements, and introducing fresh initiatives to benefit advisors.
Membership Services Team Expansion
CCRA has appointed Holly Carrig-Matthews to the newly established role of AVP TRUE Excellence. Carrig-Matthews has over 11 years of experience at CCRA, previously hosting events, leading webinars, and overseeing the membership services division. In her new position, she will spearhead growth initiatives and ensure TRUE accredited advisors receive the tools, training, and support needed to succeed as independent travel businesses.
Irene Pasquesi has been hired as Manager, TRUE Advisor & Supplier Success. With nearly six years at CCRA, Pasquesi offers valuable perspective from having operated her own travel agency under an IATA code before transitioning to a TRUE code. Her background in advisor and supplier relations will enhance the onboarding experience for new advisors.
Updated TRUE Accreditation Process
CCRA has updated the accreditation process for obtaining a TRUE Code. New requirements streamline the application by only requiring proof of legal business structure and necessary seller of travel licenses. Technology enhancements expedite approval while added ID verification increases security against fraud.
Expanded TRUE Advisor Initiatives TRUE Chapters are being reinvigorated with more meetings, engagement opportunities, and closer connections between members facilitated by Pasquesi as Chapter Director liaison. New programs will deepen ties between advisors and suppliers through hosted events, fam trips, and educational sessions.
Additionally, CCRA has launched the comprehensive TRUE Playbook guide detailing all the benefits of TRUE accreditation. A new referral program incentivizes word-of-mouth promotion. Further innovative initiatives are also in development.
“Holly’s comprehensive travel industry knowledge and commitment to advisor success make her perfectly suited to drive innovation for TRUE advisors,” said CCRA President and CEO Dic Marxen. “Irene’s first-hand experience will provide valuable mentorship during the advisor onboarding process.”
“I’m thrilled to enhance the advisor experience through expanded programs and our amazing membership services team,” stated Carrig-Matthews. “Fostering an engaged community empowers our advisors to realize their potential.”
CCRA pioneers platforms connecting travel professionals with revenue, relationships, and brand recognition. The company will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024.
