Amawaterways Opens 2025 Reservations With Early Booking Rewards

AmaWaterways reservations are now open for 2025 river cruise itineraries. Travelers can now begin planning unforgettable 2025 journeys on rivers spanning across Europe, Africa, Egypt, Asia and Colombia, while enjoying savings.

For reservations on 2025 sailings booked by September 30, 2023, AmaWaterways is offering an Early Booking Reward with savings of up to 20 percent on cruise fares depending on the sailing dates and destinations.

“With 2023 shaping up to be a very successful year and all indications pointing to a record breaking 2024, we could not be more excited to announce the opening of reservations for our 2025 itineraries,’’ said Rudi Schreiner, co-founder and president of AmaWaterways. “To meet the growing demand for river cruising, we will have additional ships in Colombia and Portugal, which brings our award-winning fleet to 29 river cruise ships welcoming between 28 and 196 guests each. We are also introducing a new seven-night Imperial Danube itinerary on the Danube and bringing back our 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary taking guests from Amsterdam to Budapest, which will appeal to new and returning guests that want to spend a little extra time exploring the fascinating art, music, history and culinary delights across this region.”

New Ships: AmaMagdalena, AmaMelodia & AmaSintra

AmaWaterways will make history in November 2024 as the first major river cruise line to take guests along the Magdalena River in Colombia with the launch of the luxurious 60-passenger AmaMagdalena. In January 2025, AmaMelodia will join her sistership offering 32 twin-balcony staterooms.

On both ships, guests can look forward to enjoying locally inspired Latin American cuisine, immersive excursions and a variety of lively entertainment representative of the country’s colorful culture. AmaWaterways is offering its valued guests the choice between two mesmerizing seven-night itineraries, Wonders of Colombia and Magic of Colombia, sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla with pre- and post-cruise optional land packages in Medellin, Colombia and Panama City.

Providing travelers with even more opportunities to discover Portugal, AmaSintra will join its golden sistership, AmaDouro, and the stunning AmaVidafor memorable journeys along the breathtaking Douro River. AmaSintra will offer a choice of two highly sought-after seven-night itineraries – the Enticing Douro, a roundtrip journey from Porto and the equally exciting Flavors of Portugal & Spain, an enchanting sailing experience between Porto to Vega de Terron, Spain.

New Itinerary: Imperial Danube

In 2025, AmaWaterways will launch Imperial Danube, a new seven-night itinerary sailing roundtrip from Budapest, Hungary on the iconic Danube River. As well as taking in the scenic cruising around the Danube Bend, travelers will enjoy visits to Bratislava, Durnstein and Vienna with the opportunity to delve into the legends of the past and historical events that left their mark along this fascinating European waterway. Guests can opt for a two-night, pre-cruise land package in Budapest to further immerse themselves in the city’s exciting culinary scene and rich Jewish heritage before embarking on their river cruise adventure.

Returning Itinerary: Magnificent Europe

With the increased demand for longer vacations, AmaWaterways is pleased to bring back its 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary in 2025. Cruising between Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Budapest, Hungary, guests follow the footsteps of emperors, kings, and queens, as they are immersed in the heart of Europe, crossing the Continental Divide along the Danube, Main and Rhine Rivers and traversing five captivating countries and the historic Main-Danube Canal. Moreover, guests will have the privilege of witnessing multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Cologne’s awe-inspiring Gothic Cathedral, the grand Würzburg Residenz Palace, the charming Old Towns of Bamberg and Regensburg, and the breathtaking Melk Abbey, in addition to hiking and biking through breathtaking scenery in Passau and Vienna.
