Avanti Launches “Another Side of Britain” e-brochure To Showcase Diverse Reasons to Vacation Independently in UK

Britain Leeds Castle

Wholesale FIT travel specialist Avanti Destinations has launched an e-brochure for advisors describing the many reasons Great Britain appeals to independent travel clients, whatever their interests or demographics, and whether they are first-time or repeat travelers to the UK.  Avanti sells custom-crafted independent travel vacations exclusively through travel advisors, not direct to consumers.

Designed as a one-stop source for all information on independent travel in the UK, the 44-page downloadable e-brochure, “Welcome to Another Side of Britain; Classic Sites and Endless Wonders”, is available on Avanti’s travel advisor portal at https://www.flipsnack.com/779977E569B/visit-britain-brochure-2022.html.

Included are: a 2022 calendar of 24 special events between June and December, including the Jane Austen Festival, Notting Hill Carnival, Leeds International Festival of Ideas, Scottish International Storytelling Festival, Edinburgh’s wacky Fringe Festival, Derry/Londonderry’s elaborate and hair-raising Halloween celebration, and Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland; thumbnail descriptions of 15 four- and five-star hotels, including castle and manor house hotels, and more than 20 distinctive destinations, most of them little known to most US travelers.

Special interest themes and experiences

Also highlighted are destinations and experiences offered by Avanti related to special interests, such as gardens, the Beatles, food, and drink (afternoon tea, innovative and traditional cuisine, pubs, breweries, and distilleries of gin and whisky), scenic natural areas (Lake District, Isle of Skye, North York Moors), and filming locations for popular TV shows and movies (Bridgerton, Outlander, Harry Potter, and others).

Among the new Avanti experiences described: Bridgerton excursion to Bath and Wilton House (from London), afternoon tea at the elegant St. Ermins Hotel (London), Warner Brothers studio tour featuring “The Making of Harry Potter” (London), private Beatles walking tour (Liverpool), and a private tour of North York moors, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay tour (from York).
Six customizable independent vacations, including self-drive

To help inspire advisors to create customized vacations for their FIT clients, the e-brochure lists six basic Avanti itineraries, which can be modified by adding or subtracting days, destinations, activities, transportation options (private transfers, rental car, or rail), and accommodations: Enchanting England (nine days in London, Oxford, Stratford, and Bath); British Classics (seven days in London, York, and Edinburgh); Best of Britain (nine days in London, Liverpool, and Edinburgh); the self-drive Gardens of England (11 days in London, Cotswolds, Lake District, York); the self-drive Best of Scotland (seven days in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow); and England in a Glass (seven days in London and York).

“There are so many reasons why Americans should visit Britain,” said Paul Barry, CEO of Avanti Destinations. “The first is English is the norm, even if it’s with a different accent. TV programs and movies had made much of the UK and its history familiar to American audiences. For gardeners, England is something of a holy grail, as it is for theater and literature fans. The diversity of natural and historical landscapes that make up England, Scotland, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland allows for family-friendly self-drive explorations. No matter what time of year and what their interests, Britain will please your clients on their first trip, and inspire them to keep coming back for more.”

“It is great to see this new e-brochure from Avanti, one of the successful applicants to our Destination Management Company and Inbound Tour Operator Amplification and Distribution Fund, designed to help build back demand for Britain, boosting immediacy to visit and bookings,” said Gavin Landry, VisitBritain Executive Vice President for the Americas.

“Our priority is driving demand by those most likely to visit this year, so it is fantastic to see Avanti’s alignment with our Welcome to another side of Britain marketing campaign, showing that Britain is packed full of amazing experiences to come and see right now, as well as broadening itineraries, and encouraging visitors to explore more and stay longer,” Landry added.
